Working alongside davidkremers, John was an Interactive Designer/Research Assistant in Scott Fraser and Russ Jacob’s Biological and Brain Imaging Centers. The groups are collaborative and multi-disciplinary research teams that pioneer visualization techniques and imaging tools for the study of developmental biology. Work focused on interactive visualizations of anatomical data through time, websites, and branding identity.

The mouseatlas project was a dynamic, web-based 3D digital atlas of normal embryonic development constructed from µMRI data, 3D volume renderings, and light microscopy imagery.
